    Terms and Conditios Air & Ocean Freight

    1. General Information

    This quotation has been prepared based on the information provided by the client. Any variation in shipment details may alter the quoted price.

    Important Note: The offered rates do not apply to dangerous, perishable, oversized, or overweight cargo unless otherwise specified. Additionally, the quotation does not include port charges, warehousing, or storage fees.

    Cargo Insurance: It is recommended to insure the merchandise to protect against unforeseen events. Grupo Linc offers insurance at a cost of 0.8% on C&F + 10%, with a minimum of $80. The insurance is subject to VAT. If the client chooses not to insure the merchandise, they assume full responsibility in the event of damage or loss.

    Specific Terms and Conditions

    1. Customs

    • The rate does not include special export/import permits such as Technical Notes, taxes, inspection fees, port surcharges, storage, packaging, fumigation, repairs, hazardous cargo labels, special handling, or charges not explicitly mentioned.

    • VAT Application: The rate is subject to VAT.

    • Third-Party Payments: Taxes and third-party payments must be pre-paid by the client; Grupo Linc does not finance these payments.

    • Customs Review: The red level customs inspection applies only within the Greater Metropolitan Area (GAM) of San José; inspections at ports or borders must be specified and quoted separately.

    • Acceptance: By accepting this quotation, the client confirms that they have read and agree to these terms and conditions.

    2. FCL Import

    • Exclusions: The rate does not include nationalization, Free Trade Zone DUA, charges for overweight cargo above 21.5 tons, cargo custody, loading/unloading, import permits (Technical Notes), customs inspections, taxes, storage, or other unspecified charges.

    • Transit Conditions: Routes and transit times are estimated and may vary due to customs delays, checkpoints, inspections, port congestion, weather, among other factors.

    • Additional Delay Charges: Includes 1-2 hours for loading and 4 hours for unloading; additional charges will apply after this time.

    • Restricted Merchandise: Human consumption products, alcoholic beverages, veterinary products, phytosanitary products, and agricultural products require prior acceptance at origin and/or destination.

    • Grupo Linc does not handle household items, vehicles, live animals, explosives, or weapons.

    • Regulatory Compliance: Exporters and consignees must comply with the customs regulations of each country to ensure smooth transportation.

    • Container Return: Containers must be returned clean; otherwise, additional charges may apply.

    • Weight Limits: Cargo cannot exceed 20,000 kg according to Central American legislation with 2-axle chassis, and up to 25,000 kg with 3-axle chassis.

    • Redirection and Electronic Tagging: Subject to additional charges for redirection and electronic tagging in Costa Rica.

    • Advance and Empty Container Pickup: Subject to additional charges for advance and empty container pickup in Costa Rica.

    • Acceptance: By accepting this quotation, the client confirms that they have read and agree to these terms and conditions.

    3. FCL Export

    • Exclusions: Does not include customs clearance, cargo custody, loading/unloading, export permits (Technical Notes), destination charges, taxes, inspection, storage, hazardous cargo labels, or special handling.
    • Transit and Shipping Times: Estimates are subject to change without prior notice due to dispatch conditions, inspections, and other factors.
    • Merchandise Responsibility: It is essential that the cargo is insured; otherwise, the client assumes full responsibility for unforeseen events.
    • Restricted Merchandise: The same conditions apply to special products as in FCL Import.
    • Regulatory Compliance: Exporters and consignees must follow customs regulations to avoid delays.
    • Container Cleaning and Weight Limit: Containers must be returned clean; the cargo must not exceed 20,000 kg according to Central American legislation with 2-axle chassis, and up to 25,000 kg with 3-axle chassis.
    • Acceptance: By accepting this quotation, the client confirms that they have read and agree to these terms and conditions.

    4. Air and LCL Import

    • Variable Costs: Guide retrieval costs are subject to change according to the airline.
    • Exclusions: Does not include nationalization, cargo custody, export permits, taxes, inspection, storage, hazardous cargo labels, or special handling.
    • Transit and Shipping Times: Routes and times are estimates and may vary without notice due to external conditions.
    • Restricted Merchandise: The same restrictions as in FCL Import and acceptance conditions at origin and destination apply to special products.
    • Modifications: Changes in weight, volume, or number of pallets may alter the rate.
    • Acceptance: By accepting this quotation, the client confirms that they have read and agree to these terms and conditions.

    5. Air Export

    • Limited Coverage: The rate includes shipping to the airport but does not cover destination charges unless otherwise specified in the rate.
    • Exclusions: Does not include nationalization, warehousing, taxes, inspection, special permits, or final delivery.
    • Packaging Conditions: Merchandise must be on certified pallets with strapping and corner protectors; packaging and labeling are the responsibility of the exporter.
    • Restricted Merchandise: The same prior acceptance conditions at origin and destination apply to special products.
    • Transit and Shipping Times: Subject to variation due to external factors, without prior notice.
    • Acceptance: By accepting this quotation, the client confirms that they have read and agree to these terms and conditions.

    Note for All Services in Guatemala: Rates do not include 12% VAT, 5-6% Collect Fee, or applicable withholding taxes when paid abroad.
